HijackThis continues to be freeware and Trend Micro does not offer any support for the product. This is mainly due to the fact that it’s free to download. Another reason is that the product generates a detailed report about the registry and file settings on your computer and does not differentiate between safe and unsafe settings. It is up to the user to decide what to keep and what not to. HijackThis is a tool for advanced users and inefficient use of the product can make a computer unbootable.
