The Twitter attack used traditional social engineering instead of complex hacking. The message is simple–start using different passwords to prevent a similar situation. Update your profile/account settings to remove unused/old accounts as secondary emails. It’s easy for someone to re-register and gain access to your primary account as well as search for clear text passwords. That is what happened in this case. The so-called vulnerability of Google Apps is nothing but a misunderstanding of collaboration tools. Security is a fundemental necessity. There is no excuse for weak controls.
